The Peak District National Park has 13.25 million visitors per year, making it one of the most popular national parks in the UK.
The event starts and ends in the famous Spa-town of Buxton, famous for it's Spring Water. The start is just a short distance from the famous St Ann's Well. It's good luck to fill your water bottle there before the start!

Race History
In 2016, Beyond Marathon Ltd registers the domain Peak District 100 and associated events
In 2019 The original first edition was hosted from Castleton.
In 2021 The Peak District 100® and Peak District 50® receive their trademark approval
In 2022, Beyond Marathon Ltd partnered with Cockbain Events Ltd and the event moved to Buxton for ecological reasons and with a large venue that permitted growth of the events. A Marathon Distance was added. RaidLight sponsor.
In 2023 The main sponsor became Chia Charge
In 2025. 30 miles of the Southern (White Peak loop) were redesigned in increase the amount of elevation and take the event across the iconic Roaches and to feature the Peak District's "Matterhorn"

100 Miles
The Peak District 100®
Starting in the famous Spa-town of Buxton The Peak District 100® is a fearsome challenge. It features 5.2km of vertical scent. No other Peak District runing event features this amount of elevation. If you are looking for the sternest test of your abilities and a route which features the very best of the Dark and White Peak District, you have found it. Featuring 30 miles of brand new trail for 2025, including The famous Roaches of Shutlingsloe the Matterhorn of the Peak District
or the epic Dark Peak foothills
50 Miles
The Peak District 50®
From Buxton, you will tour into the Southern Areas of the Dark Peak District, skirting the foothills of Kinder, and taverse the great ridge above Edale, from Mam Tor to Lose Hill, before returning via the incredible landscape of Cave Dale famous for use in many film and TV productions including Game of Thrones House of Dragon.

The Peak District Marathon
From Buxton, you will tour into the Northern area of the White Peak District. You'll begin with trail to cross spectacular Deep Dale , then join the Monsal Trail; an amazing journey along an legacy railway, going in and out of long tunnels amidst a fantastic limestone cliff landscape. You will then go over an epic viaduct, climb up to CP1 then descend through the incredible dales to Monyash, and back to Buxton via Deep Dale.

No deferrals are allowed

The only way to be refunded is to sell and transfer your place to person that you find yourself. Transfer using Etchrock.com’s transfer function. Once the recipient pays, you will be refunded.

Note that merchadise costs are not refunded, but is transferred to the recipient automatically. If you wish to recoup those costs you must arrange private transfer of funds for the Tshirt. Shirts are ordered 14 weeks in advance. Sizes cannot be changed after 12th June 2025
